Renovation Helper

Rudy Vandenberg Classic Renovations is a family-owned business that has been based out of Halton Hills, Ontario for 40 years. We build and renovate uniquely tailored homes throughout the western Greater Toronto Area (Halton, Caledon, Erin, Wellington, Guelph, Peel). We focus on quality and a customer satisfaction. - We are looking for a motivated General Laborer or Carpenter Helper looking to acquire the skills associated with residential renovations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in renovating as an occupation and a desire to learn.
- Tasks associated with interior and exterior renovation work:

- Demolition
- Framing
- Hanging drywall
- Exterior siding
- Installing trim
- Etc.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Capable of working with mínimal oversite but willing to follow directions closely
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site
- Installation of materials as directed
- Climb to heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints
- Communicate effectively with other team members, sub-contractors, and home owners
- Perform any and all tasks involved with residential renovation and construction as assigned by the supervisor
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- High school diploma/GED
- Professional & positive attitude
- Drivers license and reliable transportation is required to get to and from the job site
- Own basic construction tools (tool belt, hammer, hard hat, CSA approved boots, etc.)
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Willingness to work in a dusty and noisy environment, in all weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

**Preferred Skills**
- Post-Secondary diploma/certificate (preferred). _* Does not have to be construction related*_
- 1+ years’ construction industry experience preferred
- Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures

**Job Types**: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

- Construction: 1 year (preferred)
- Skilled Labor: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)
