The successful applicant will be part of the Human Capital Management Systems team and will partner with the Payroll and Human Resource teams of the Medavie Health Services group of companies to analyze HRIS & Absence Plan data and leverage the return on the Human Capital Management System (HCM) - Workday.

As the HRIS Analyst, you will be technically focused on hands-on Workday analysis and configuration as part of the HCM team. You will build & maintain absence plans, reports, maintain HRIS data integrity through constant data monitoring, as well as assists other Workday stakeholders in the Medavie Health Services group of companies, Human Resources and Payroll staff with system issues. You will provide training and technical support and will seek to improve business processes and look for opportunities to improve user efficiency.

**In this role, your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following**:

- Document system processes, assigns users, identifies user concerns, and compiles data analysis reports.
- Consult with stakeholders, assesses needs and writes, maintains, and supports a variety of reports or queries both in and out of the HRIS for various system users at all levels of the organization.
- Assist in the configuration of absence plans including testing and implementing changes
- Assist in the configuration of the HRIS including testing and implementing changes to automated business processes
- Assist in the development of quarterly HRIS metrics including data analysis, interpretation, defining reporting timelines for operating companies who supply some of the data and report preparation
- Provide training on HCM processes to all new users to the system
- Provide training to users for any changes to business processes or configuration updates
- Maintain forms and a process manual for system users.
- Review periodic system feature releases, assesses impact on system and business processes, and communicates to stakeholders
- Maintain system data integrity by performing audits on HR and payroll processes and documents, including hiring, termination of service, and payroll administration, when required.
- Optimize HRIS processes, and performing diagnostic tests
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and strategies in technology fields relating to HRIS.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Have a post-secondary education with a focus on Payroll Administration, Business Administration, Information Systems or Human Resources.
- Possess a minimum of three years of HRIS experience or comparable experience as a Payroll Administrator processing a large payroll (200+ employees). Pension and benefit administration experience is considered an asset.
- Have experience with Workday HCM would be considered an asset.
- Demonstrate skills with emphasis on decision-making, problem solving and communication skills.
- Have strong proficiency working with Microsoft Office tools, such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint to compile and interpret quantitative data.
- Have experience in documenting processes as well as performing diagnostic audits.
- Possess the ability to gather and interpret data, as well as improve HRIS processes.
