Actuarial Analyst

**Description:
- Permanent Full Time- Canada Life, one of Canada’s leading life insurance and financial services companies, is currently seeking **Actuarial Analysts** to join our London Actuarial Resource Pool (ARP). The purpose of the ARP is to allow aspiring Actuaries to gain a wide variety of exposure to different areas in the company through rotations while they progress toward their Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries and/or Canadian Institute of Actuaries.- This is a permanent, hybrid role located at our London head office - the successful applicant will be required to work in person in London up to three days per week.- As an Actuarial Analyst, you are a key member of a highly respected and professional Actuarial team and will have an opportunity to work in a variety of areas, including but not limited to:
- Pricing & Product Development
- Valuation
- Enterprise Risk Management
- Reinsurance
- Risk Research
- Corporate Actuarial
- Internal Audit- Our Actuarial Analysts participate in a variety of team building activities and professional development activities that help to strengthen skills and contribute to building strong relationships among our Actuarial staff. Past activities have included exam results parties, trivia nights, rock climbing, snow tubing, and a scavenger hunt.**Qualifications**
- University degree (preferably with a major in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Finance)
- Strong academic achievements
- Demonstrated commitment to attaining an actuarial Fellowship designation. A condition of employment in the ARP is continued progress towards this designation.
- Past experience in an actuarial (or related) role
- Innovative problem-solver
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Well organized, delivering accurate work with an attention to detail, in a timely manner
- Team player who is also comfortable working independently
- Strong MS Excel, Word, Access, and VBA skills
- Working knowledge of Moody’s AXIS and SQL is an asset

- The base salary for this position is between **$65,600 - $120,300 **annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
