Membership Consultant

We are currently hiring for the position of Membership Consultant for an evening & weekend position commencing on December 1st. Our front desk staff are the face of our facility as they are the first point of contact for our members and potential new members. This position requires a flexible schedule consisting mainly of evening and weekend shifts. The position reports to the Membership & Marketing Coordinator. The Membership Consultant will model exemplary customer service skills and demonstrate a commitment to health and wellness in a manner that aligns with the mission and vision of the Nutrien Civic Centre.
- Greet everyone who comes in the door.
- Check in and verify members
- Sell memberships, register drop-ins and collect fees
- Promote & take registration for all specialty programs, workshops, personal training & nutrition services.
- Actively sell merchandise from the pro shop.
- Handle membership payments, cancellations and holds.
- Maintain a clean workspace behind the front desk & assist with cleaning of main floor washrooms.
- Engage with members & respond to inquiries.
- Handle incoming calls and deal with membership inquiries or customer concerns.
- Make follow up phone calls to new members as well as sales calls to those coming up for renewal.
- Set appointments for orientations and consultations.
- Perform such other duties as may be required and be requested from the Membership & Marketing Coordinator or manager on duty.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience and general passion for the health & wellness industry.
- Exceptional customer service attitude.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Able to work flexible hours.
- Sales experience would be considered an asset.
- Computers skills required.
- Standard First Aid and CPR would be considered an asset.
