**OVERVIEW**

Established as a boutique digital marketing consultancy focused upon the holistic needs of marketers, advertience is seeking to expand its team to include a dynamic and personable **GRAPHIC DESIGN ASSOCIATE**. This role is ideally suited for a savvy digital enthusiast who wants to be a part of a growing digital company.

**SUMMARY**

In this role, the **GRAPHIC DESIGN ASSOCIATE** will support the Creative Services team across all internal and external client projects including, but not limited to, the development of advertising, website, and presentation assets. Core to success in this role will be a strong grasp of design principles and best practices, and experience in developing presentations, documentation, advertising-related assets (eg. Display and Social creative ads), as well as website prototype designs and mock-ups.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Organize and effectively execute daily tasks and ad hoc/ongoing projects
- Clearly communicate with the Creative Services lead with respect to design project requests and requirements
- Engage in constructive debate to challenge your design decisions; standing up for your choices, while being willing to use respectful criticism, to iterate into even better designs.
- Collaboration and support within a department including user experience (UX) designers, web designers, and analytics team.
- Solicit and incorporate feedback from colleagues and clients with respect to design drafts and end-products
- Support in the delivery of presentation layout, design, and visual assets in alignment with client brand guidelines
- Partner with client account leads to develop social asset plans and supporting creatives
- Assist in designing various digital and print collateral, such as digital ads, newsletters, web design, UX/UI and marketing materials
- Edit/update existing creative(s) and enhance previous marketing campaigns for future use
- Support all design and creative-related efforts

**EDUCATION**
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in graphic design, along with an outstanding portfolio that demonstrates clear understanding of design and digital production
- 1-2 years of professional graphic design experience in an office environment and/or a design team

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Resourceful, diligent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Team-player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to follow direction and collaborate/communicate well with others
- Ability to see opportunities for improvement everywhere
- Effectively and efficiently able to manage multiple responsibilities and assignments simultaneously under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of work ethic holding oneself accountable to all stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work within branding guidelines with an eye for detail
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of the digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook / IG
- Basic knowledge of website layouts and UI/UX design
- Strong proficiency and experience in Adobe Creative Suite--Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Xd
- Proficiency and experience in Google Slides, PowerPoint, and optimizing designs for digital platforms
- Working knowledge of setting up files for print
- Experience in basic animation, video editing, HTML5, and Mailchimp are beneficial assets
- Applications must include a portfolio to be considered for the position
