Snow Plow Operator

We require an additional snow plow operator for the 2024-25 season. There is opportunity for positions to extend for many years to come.

**PAST EXPERIENCE**

**SCOPE OF WORK**

Your duties for this position would include:

- Snow plowing and salting at various sites
- Maintaining cleanliness and good repair of your equipment
- Communicating site and equipment issues to supervisors
- Inspecting sites for health and safety concerns
- Assisting the team with regular maintenance work
- Occasional shoveling as necessary

Applicants who are successful will have the option to continue with our team after the end of the winter. During the summer months we do lawn mowing, landscaping, interlock, decks, fences, and more.

**WAGES AND HOURS**

Wages range from $25-$30 per hour for operators with 1-5 years experience. Less than 1 year of experience will result in wages at or below $25 per hour, while experience of more than 5 years will result in wages over $30 per hour.

This position is listed as part-time since you will only be working when it snows and one or two days after a storm concludes. Winter of 2023-24 saw very little snow, but our team still worked an average of 30.4 hours per week.

**OUR TEAM**

We are a small business based in Embrun, Ontario. We opened our doors in June of 2023 and have quickly grown to offer a variety of services over a large portion of Eastern Ontario. We are currently a team of 5 employees and the owner.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

- Snow Removal: 1 year (preferred)
