Welding Supervisor

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Supervise daily welding operations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and company policies.
- Oversee a team of welders, ensuring work is completed on time, to a high standard, and within budget.
- Provide technical guidance and support to welding staff, resolving any issues that arise.
- Ensure that welding activities comply with **CWB standards** and project requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of welding work to ensure quality control.
- Maintain and update welding procedures, ensuring they are in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Ensure that all welders are properly trained and certified according to **CWB requirements**.
- Monitor and manage material usage, ensuring proper inventory levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, quality control, and project management, to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Prepare and submit reports on production, quality, and safety performance.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **CWB Supervisory Certification** is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW.
- In-depth knowledge of **CWB** standards and regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding specifications.
- Experience in quality control and inspection of welding work.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to address challenges efficiently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in the construction or manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with project management principles.
- Certifications in safety training (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid).
Pay: $28.50-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 8 per week
