Position Summary
The Ops/Production Supervisor II is responsible for supervising the execution of production and logistic activities undertaken by front-line operational personnel in line with the schedule, standards and performance, cost and volume. Ensures quality business practices and standards are followed to achieve all set targets and organizational goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Promote and support the overall health, safety and work environment by implementing and assisting in the
- Facilitate safe mine production through the use of personnel and equipment for an area or shift. Directs all activities of a single shop or segment of the mining operations on rotating shifts.
- Perform timely updates and evaluations of scope of work requests prior to approval of weekly plans.
- Participate in pre-planning, planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources to the work schedule.
- Monitor equipment and personnel to accommodate the mining and extraction of coal in a safe and efficient manner. While providing a positive chain of communication in a diverse work environment.
- Leading the work execution team in the daily work development for production activities, implementing necessary job assignments to work force to ensure a match of the work and equipment.
- Demonstrate and support the Westmoreland Coal Company Code of Conduct, promote and support overall health, safety and work environment.

Typical Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions and vibration. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 years of related work experience which includes production operations in the mining industry.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities

Licenses, Registration, and Certifications
- Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Supervisor Certification
