**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a dedicated Live Lobster Laborers for our client in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. We have a few full-time and a few part-time positions.

**Job Duties**:

- Cut, clean and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing
- Opens and removes raw materials and places on belts.
- Segregates product on conveyor belt or table according to grade, color, and size, and places product in containers or on designated conveyors.
- Discards cull (inferior or defective) items and foreign matter.
- Packs product in boxes, barrels, baskets, cans, totes or crates for storage or shipment.
- Operates machine(s) to move live or packed seafood from place to place.
- Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety.

**Work Conditions and physical capabilities**:

- Repetitive tasks
- Physically demanding
- Attention to detail
- Standing for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible shifts - early mornings and late evenings
- Comfortable working in cold and wet conditions
- Weight Handling: more than 45 kg (100 lbs)

**Bring your own work cloths, steel-toed safety boots and hard hat.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Eastern Passage, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Food industry: 1 year (preferred)
