Lumber Stacker

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- Stacking trusses in correct order
- Keeping count of trusses
- Checking that trusses are properly labeled
- Labeling bundles accurately
- Pointing our any concerns regarding quality control to Lead Hand
- Ensure safe stacking procedures
- Other duties as required
**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**:
- Heavy lifting required
- Understanding of grading & quality of lumber an asset
- Experience in using power tools, sawing equipment specifically an asset
- Required to work in dusty conditions
- Ability to work in a high paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work in a noisy atmosphere
- Construction knowledge an asset
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Trusses coming in contact with one another could pin a worker
- Extra care also needs to be taken when sheeting trusses-the employee must follow proper procedures when using routers and other tools
- Care is also needed because of exposure to the elements - hypothermia, heat exhaustion can be hazards
