Reservations Agent

**Job description**

**Job Duties**
- Counsel clients on Great Canadian Holidays tour offerings, and administer all aspects of their tour reservation.
- Friendly and professional phone etiquette
- Prepare tour documents for clients.
- Communicate with clients directly and the travel agent community to qualify, counsel, and sell tour products and travel insurance.
- Sell travel insurance (if no experience, complete company-provided insurance training within 30 day of hire)
- Mail out of flyers, process inbound mail
- Assist in group sales as needed
- Assist other departments with inbound calls as needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment
- Other tasks as assigned

**Job Requirements**
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- TICO Certification (must be completed within 30 days of hire if not currently certified)
- Ability to set priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills (working knowledge of Word & Excel), with the ability to learn a new booking software system.
- Diploma in Travel & Tourism and travel insurance sales experience considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kitchener, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
