Number of positions: 5
All students must be full time day students at a recognized secondary or post-secondary institution and be returning to full time attendance in fall of 2023.
Students must meet the basic requirements of the position. Should you be offered the position, with the City of Cornwall, you will be required to submit verification of school status.
Hours: Varied shifts at 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week. Please note that the position requires shift work and some overtime, as required.
Hourly Wage: Starting at $17.00 per hour
Term: 4 months, May to end of August

**Responsibilities**:

- To work collect traffic data and input is data collection system
- To be knowledgeable of, and to enforce, all City of Cornwall Policies and other relevant legislations, including but not limited to Ministry of Health regulations, TSSA Standards, Health & Safety etc.
- Attend all in service training
- To perform AADT mapping
- To assist in the data collection of road reclassification
- To conduct speed studies
- To keep inventory of all street signs
- To assist in pavement marking
- To assist in maintaining street light inventories
- To update various departmental databases
- To be a representative of the City of Cornwall and maintain outstanding public relations skills and professional image at all times
- All other duties as assigned
- Knowledge in AutoCAD (GIS Plus); documentation not required
- Keen Knowledge of databases; documentation not required
- College or University level education
- Have own transportation, which could be a motor vehicle or a bicycle.
- Must show proof of a valid G drivers license, including drivers abstract
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (two doses) at the time of interview
