**Major Responsibilities**
- Proactively execute the needs of a 24/7 operation while being able to respond to changing demands with short notice.
- Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of High-Speed, PLC Controlled Processes and Packaging Equipment.
- Use and maintenance of Programmable Logic Controllers, instrumentation, and PC to observe and repair machine function.
- Maintenance of electrical Plant Utilities such as lighting and emergency lighting/generators.
- Calibration of Process Control Instruments and Controllers.
- Timely completion of Preventive Maintenance Routines and Work Orders.
- Advise on problem resolution and the procurement of material and equipment for individual jobs.
- Assist in project work, equipment modifications and new installations as required.
- Keep machine file documentation system current and updated.
- Ensure the EET Shop is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Communicate clearly with Maintenance, Engineering and Production personnel.
- Practice safe working methods as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Internal Management Policies to protect personnel and equipment.
- Ensure instrumentation equipment in the shop and personal tools are operational and safe to use. Any defective equipment is to be returned for repair or replaced.
- Ensure Departmental and Electrical Shop logbooks are kept current as per work performed.
- Participate in relevant training as required.
- Other assigned duties as per business requirements.
- Follow all GMP Rules & Regulations and Quality Checks
- Work according to ISO 14001 Environment and OHSAS 18001 Safety requirements

**Qualifications**
- A Licensed Electrician with an Ontario Journeyman’s Electrical License (309A or 442A) and a good working knowledge of PLCs & electronics.
- Membership or eligibility for the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists is required
- Experience of Key Standard Routines and Predictive Maintenance tools & Systems is required
- Knowledge and/or Working experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), especially with Preventive Maintenance Pillar methodology is preferred.
- Can thoroughly understand company policies and procedures.
- Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of factory systems and SAP is highly desired.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and excel at working within a team environment.
- Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills and can deliver results through people.
