Adoption counseling and interviewing potential adopters
- Educate potential adopters on various animal related topics
- Create adoption profile write-ups
- Maintain awareness of current animal population
- Enter client information into computer software program and process animal adoptions/intakes
- Animal Surrender processing and counseling
- Answer general inquiries about the HSDR and animal related topics
- Communicate with foster parents and adopters
- Other tasks required in the day to day operation of the shelter
- Customer service experience is an asset
- Must be comfortable working with and handling animals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to a changing environment is an asset
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to change using strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid Ontario Glass G Driver’s license, clean driving record required
- Employees will be required to work day and/or evening shifts, must be reliable and able to work weekends

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $17.80 per hour
