**Summary**:
DMC is currently looking for a Mechanical E.I.T to join our team on a contract basis, based in our Sudbury location. The Mechanical E.I.T will be responsible for supporting the mechanical design and engineering team on underground mining projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supports Senior Designer(s) with mechanical design and drafting.
- Assists in the design, development, and evaluation of mechanical elements and equipment.
- Produces engineering drawings and other deliverables using Solidworks, Revit, Autocad and other 3D design software.
- Develops equipment specifications and bills of materials and performs cost-benefit analysis as needed.
- Works with domestic and international manufacturers to evaluate, select, and specify mechanical equipment and components.
- Assists with mechanical calculations and conceptual equipment layouts.
- Maintains mechanical data, documentation, and drawings.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering.
- Related co-op or work experience is an asset.
- Working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices, industry and regulatory codes and standards.
- Ability and interest in developing new products and techniques.
- Strong English language communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong team player with ability to coordinate and work with other engineering disciplines.
- Proficient with Solidworks (or similar design software), Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Registered as EIT with PEO or other Canadian Professional Engineering association.
