**About the Position**:
Hey there We’re on the lookout for a collaborative Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Wise Publishing. As a BI Analyst, you'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining dashboards essential for analyzing business insights. Your tasks will include crafting user-friendly dashboards and platforms to streamline data analysis. Collaborating closely with our internal stakeholders, you'll ensure that BI tools are aligned with our organizational goals and empower competitive research efforts.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities (What you’ll do)**:

- SQL: Write SQL queries proficiently for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis from relational databases and data warehouses.
- Report and Dashboard Development: Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using BI tools like AWS QuickSight or Tableau to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business departments such as Marketing, Finance, Partnerships, Legal and our engineers.
- Data Preparation and Transformation: Perform data preparation tasks such as cleaning, filtering, and structuring data for optimal visualization.
- Analytics: Utilize strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Documentation: Document data models, ETL processes, and technical specifications weekly to maintain knowledge integrity within the organization.
- Programming: Utilize programming languages like Python or R periodically (bonus skill).
- Data Modeling and Extract, Transform and Load (ETL): Design, develop, and maintain data models and ETL processes periodically to ensure accurate data flow into data warehouses or BI systems when needed.
- Data Warehousing: Contribute a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices when needed.

**Key Requirements (Who you are)**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role such as BI Analyst or BI Engineer
- Proficiency in SQL Queries
- Experience working with Business Intelligence systems and Data Visualization Dashboards such as AWS QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau (Bonus for QuickSight)
- Strong MySQL Database knowledge
- Snowflake database knowledge is a bonus
- Able to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Loves to interpret data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions based on insights
- Identifies and solves problems efficiently, especially concerning data inconsistencies
- Works collaboratively with a cross-functional team
- A quick learner who can integrate new technologies, tools, or methodologies
- Able to prioritize tasks/requests accordingly
