River Rock Casino Resort is recruiting for a **Security Supervisor. **This position is responsible for monitoring the day-to-day activities of security operations while establishing and contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. This individual ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and assists in providing a learning environment. They will also provide input on performance evaluations and assist with the implementation of all new security operations initiatives.
- Provides input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
- Mentors, coaches and trains front line security staff, including best practices for the non-gaming record keeping system
- Verifies security timesheets
- Monitors, documents and reports internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities of the entire property as directed; prepares electronic statements via a non-gaming record keeping system
- Enrolls guests into the Self-Exclusion Program
- Overseeing crowd control for special events
- Administers and maintains various critical security systems (e.g., Key Control, WINPAC, SIMS, Threat Management System)
- Reviews surveillance files; maintains site surveillance equipment; reports issues
- Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
- Observes cashier transactions and slot drops (if applicable); escorts cash and cash equivalent movements
- Conducts regular patrols of the entire property as directed; identifies risks and conditions that present safety issues for team members, guests, facility and company assets
- Provides or assists with First Aid for team members and guests
- Tags and reports found property; transfers to Lost and Found
- Responds to, resolves or escalates security issues
- May escort guests and team members or assign escort duties as required
- Performs identification checks as required
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, team members, regulatory bodies and police authorities
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
- Available to work up to 40 hours per week in a variety of shifts including evenings, graveyards, and weekends as we operate 24 hours per day, seven days a week
- Post-secondary education or suitable combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in gaming security; minimum 1 year supervisory experience
- Must be willing to recertify for Use of Force every 3 years
- Occupational First Aid Level 2 asset
- Can understand, speak and write English; fluency in other languages an asset
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Serving It Right, Smart Serve or IGB certification, or the ability to obtain a Serving it Right Certification
- The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
