As a Automation Builder at Osella Technologies you are involved in the manufacturing, install and service of automated assembly equipment. The quality, delivery and profitability of this equipment will be a direct result of your efforts and the efforts of your peers. Customer satisfaction is a priority at Osella Technologies and in this position you are expected to work with all contributing departments to ensure this is met or exceeded.
- Responsible for Safety first and foremost in every aspect of your job.
- Working directly for the Shop Floor Manager to complete jobs on time and within budget while exceeding customers’ expectations.
- At Osella Technologies you will be required to contribute to the manufacturing of components and the assembly of equipment as needed.
- Working with the mechanical and controls design group in the selection of components to be integrated in the equipment. This will follow industry standards and customer guidelines while making considerations for improvements and cost vs budget.
- Working with the Shop Manager he or she will provide information on the progress of their job that will be used to inform the management of the equipment progress as well as estimate how the financial performance of the job is tracking.
- From time to time you will be required to travel to customer sites around North America for installation and commissioning of equipment.
- You will be asked to contribute along with your team members to; time card reporting, shipping & receiving, shop floor purchase requisitions and approvals, inventory levels and re-ordering.
- Equipment maintenance and the oversight of property maintenance including the cleanliness of the shop floor will be required
The following qualifications are the determined minimum requirements for the position:
- 5 years of experience in Automation or Tooling
- Ability to use general machine shop equipment safely while efficiently manufacturing or fine tuning components.
- Basic understanding equipment controls systems as it pertains to equipment setup/debug, including but not limited to: Sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, ultrasonics, HMI interfacing, basic electrical, safety systems.
- Basic understanding of PLC, robotics, servo drive operation as it pertains to setup/debug and working with controls staff.
- Strong understanding of mechanical principals
- Intermediate PC aptitude & skills are required, in particular with Excel, other MS Office product.
- Ability to travel internationally on short notice.
- Experience with other aspects of machine building as to have a foundation of knowledge that adds to your ability lead and interact with staff.
- Strong emphasis as a team player that thrives in a cooperative team environment and presents themselves in a polished professional manner

**Salary**: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
