We are looking for a full-time
** Groundskeeping Maintenance Staff **to join our Residential Rentals team in Guelph
**Note**: Hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
About the Role:
- The Groundskeeping Maintenance staff ensures that all aspects of the grounds and outdoor areas of Sifton owned townhomes, common areas, and parks are well maintained and safe, providing a pleasant environment for our tenants and the community.
- In addition to landscaping, patio levelling, retaining walls, and drainage, theGroundskeeping Maintenance staff is responsible for exterior building maintenance and repair including minor roof repairs, eavestroughs and garbage collection and snow removal.
- The Groundskeeping Maintenance staff works collaboratively to address work orders in a timely fashion while providing an outstanding customer service experience.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a landscape or grounds maintenance environment preferred.
- Experience in general repairs such as caulking, asphalt repairs, patio/minor basement leaks and drainage intervention; maintenance experience of garbage/recycling, lawn maintenance/snow removal
- Working at Heights certification an asset
- Ability to perform physical job functions during all weather conditions
- Strong maintenance/ repair aptitude, and ability to multi-task and complete a variety of general maintenance repairs.
- Able to work independently with accountability and flexible to work with other team members as required.
- Displays initiative to problem-solve and engage with tenants and team to achieve positive outcomes
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service focus, respectful of privacy and personal spaces with a positive and friendly demeanor
- General awareness and a strong commitment to the safe operation of grounds maintenance equipment and other safety protocols.
- Self-motivated and energetic, able to work well within a team environment. Good communication skills and a positive customer service focus.
- Dependable transportation; valid driver’s license and ability to report for flexible work schedules.
