Currently, Black & McDonald operates across Canada and the United States. The company has over 3,000 employees working out of a network of more than 20 offices.
- Work with and prepare detailed diagrams, plans, drawings, reports and presentations
- Coordinate, assess, and organize the work of various electrical projects
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software and other resources to design the systems required for various projects
- Attend a range of project, group and technical meetings
- Liaise closely with other professionals including architects, engineers, contractors, builders, and surveyors
- Coordinate daily operations and construction activities
- Assist with the identification and resolution of field technical issues
- Ensure site is operating in accordance to health, safety and environmental standards
- Assist in planning schedules and monitoring progress against established schedules
- Assess the impacts of schedule changes and notify parties involved
- Solicit and submit shop drawings between vendors and owners for approval
- Purchasing material and equipment for secured jobs

**Requirements**:

- A College Diploma in Construction or Electrical Engineering Technology or a University Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry complete with electrical engineering and building construction skills
- Experience in drafting practices for electrical and mechanical building systems
- Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications and building material
- Proficiency in the following design software: Revit, AutoCad, QuickPen PipeDesigner 3D,and QuickPen DuctDesigner 3D
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to establish a strong working relationship with co-workers, vendors and clients
