**The salary range for this position is**:
**Recruitment range: $61,154- $67,421 **starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.

**Performance range: starting salary to max of $79,510** is available through annual performance increases.
- Job Summary**Mandate**:
The EDID+ (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Decolonization) Coordinator in the Faculty of Education, UVic, advances the Faculty of Education’s commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and resilient educational environment. This position collaborates closely with the Dean, partners, and community members to coordinate Faculty-level plans encompassing EDID, climate resilience, and workplace well-being. By facilitating collaboration with students, faculty, staff, and communities, the coordinator guides the alignment with UVic's mission and values. Through workshops, training, and support, they actively promote the infusion of EDID principles into teaching, research, and practices, contributing to a more equitable and inclusive learning environment. The EDID+ Coordinator serves as a bridge between the Faculty of Education and external partners, promoting these principles within and beyond the institution. Overall, this role enables UVic's Faculty of Education to champion EDID, climate resilience, and well-being, thereby enriching its educational landscape in accordance with its mission.

**Objectives**:
The EDID+ Coordinator at UVic's Faculty of Education influences planning for equity, diversity, inclusion, and resilience. Collaborating with engaged partners, they work to harmonize strategic goals with UVic's mission, fostering a supportive environment. They deliver workshops, provide guidance, and foster integration of EDID principles. As a liaison, they build partnerships and raise awareness both internally and externally. By staying updated on legislation, policies, and best practices, the coordinator ensures coherence, cultivating an environment of responsibility and inclusiveness. Additionally, they engage in research, data analysis, and public outreach to enhance awareness and understanding of EDID, climate resilience, and workplace well-being. This role requires an undergraduate degree and 3 years' experience, along with administrative, project management, and relationship-building skills to promote inclusivity and effective collaboration.
- Job RequirementsThis position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree plus 3 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
