Gymnastics Coach

**About us**

Brazeau Gym Club is a small business in Drayton Valley, AB T7A 1N1. Our goal is to enhance and enrich lives through participation in the sport of gymnastics.

Brazeau Gymnastics Club in Drayton Valley is looking to add more coaches for our Competitive and Recreational programs.

Recreation coaches
- must love working with children. No previous experience required but must be willing to obtain their level 1 foundations certification.

Competitive coaches
- require a minimum Level 1 certification with willingness to obtain their C1. Previous gymnastics experience preferred.

Coaches must be required to take the Respect in Sport Course. Must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as work well within teams. As coaches will be working with children, a criminal and vulnerable sector screen will be requested.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop lesson plans and workouts, practice drills and routines.
- Must be available to coach birthday parties, and open gyms as required.
- Work with a variety of students and offer regular feedback.
- Oversee the safety of students and staff on the equipment.
- Create a safe environment for students, parents, and staff to exercise.
- Publicly encourage and support student participation in both recreational and competitive gymnastics.
- Use friendly and professional language when communicating with students, parents, and staff.
- Monitor student participation in class activities.
- Perform cleaning duties as required.

Starting pay is $17.00/ hour to increase with experience.
