Junior Underwriter

**THE ROLE**

We are looking for a Junior Underwriter to work remotely. The Junior Underwriter is a blended role, involving review of prospective quotes at intake, and initial review/underwriting of cases for, initially, simplified underwriting for select partners. You will undertake the set up and logging of quotes received from partners. For those cases initially identified as eligible for simplified underwriting, the underwriter will proceed to handle and underwrite according to underwriting practices. Over time, the junior underwriter will also undertake RFAs and more complex underwriting, as training and time permit. The junior underwriter will support and assist intake as required based on volumes. **This is a remote based role.**

**YOUR IMPACT**
- Track quotes in the appropriate workbooks and websites
- Analyze data received from Partner to ensure all information required has been included
- Prepare employee data in the quote file
- Assist in the creation of weekly/monthly reports for quoting analysis
- Other duties as assigned

**WHAT TO EXPECT**
- Within 6 months of hire_
- Take over the initial quoting steps
- Decrease the turnaround time for producing quotes by supporting the underwriting team in handling simplifed quotes
- Increase accuracy with data received by the partner
- Increase accuracy with responses to RFAs

**THIS IS YOU**
- Completion of post-secondary education in mathematics, statistics, or other related field an asset
