Experienced Bricklayer

**Duties**:

- Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units
- Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing
- Construct and install prefabricated masonry units
- Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
- Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools
- Instruct apprentices
- Lay bricks or other masonry units to build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces
- Restore, clean or paint existing masonry structures

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Brick Mason for wood burning fireplaces.
- Proficient in masonry techniques, including laying bricks, mixing mortar, and operating hand and power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics to accurately construct structures.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation for material transport and accessing work areas.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.

**Salary**: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
