Petawawa, Canada Language Matters Full time

Responsibilities:

- Keep Language Matters informed on preferred working hours and number of clients (can grow caseload gradually)
- Arrange & manage your own booking schedule
- Assess speech, language, literacy, & communication disorders in children (0-18), providing appropriate recommendations (areas treated are negotiable)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients and families
- Provide consultation, inter-professional collaboration, parent training as needed
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Manage your active client files ensuring adherence to CASLPO guidelines on patient records
- Invoice and provide receipts to families; invoice Language Matters for your fee
- Optional additional paperwork may be required (reports as requested, home practice, etc.)

**Experience**:

- Experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist is an asset, however, new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Experience working in private practice or managing a caseload independently is an asset

**Skills**:

- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in conducting assessments and providing evidence-based therapy interventions
- Knowledge of various speech therapy techniques and tools

Licensure/Certification:

- Registration (or initial certificate of registration) with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Must have valid driver's licence, access to own vehicle. Travel area is negotiable
- Must have a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) less than one year old
