**Summer Custodial & Grounds Maintenance Assistant - 2 positions**

As a Summer Custodial & Grounds Maintenance Assistant, a large part of your duties will be undertaking grounds maintenance such as removing debris, removing weeds and tidying gardens, sweeping and cleaning walkways. This position will also provide assistance in maintaining the community garden located at our Preston location. You will be an important part of the facilities team by performing various essential cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming and dumping garbage and recycle bins.

**What You’ll Need to Succeed**
- Excellent attention to detail, enjoy working outside and don’t mind getting your hands a bit dirty.
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
- You will be required to work with others, therefore excellent people skills and a positive attitude is essential.
- Basic computer knowledge is also a requirement.
- A driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required to move between locations in Cambridge is an asset.

**Other Info**:
To be eligible, youth must:

- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment*; and,
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

*International students are not eligible participants

**Pay**: The rate of pay is $18.43 per hour

**Hours**: 70 hours in a two-week period

This is a full-time, contract position beginning in May 23rd and ending August 25th, 2023.
