LabX Media Group is currently looking for a **Junior Data Analyst** to join our Business Analytics team.

**Responsibilities:
**AdOps**
- Oversee a wide variety of ad networks and vendors, working to optimize yield, CPM, and overall revenue.
- Investigate and recommend new opportunities, meet with potential vendors and vet their various advertising products to determine if they would benefit our sites.
- Work with our development team to implement new ad units or data requirements for reporting.
- QA technical bugs relating to ad networks or reporting.
- Resolve data privacy compliance issues (i.e. GDRP, CCPA) as it relates to collecting personal information and the use of cookies to serve targeted ads.
- Maintain a reporting tool that collects data from various vendors using different methods such as APIs, web scraping, file uploads (like CSV or JSON), and direct database connections.

**Analyst**
- Build/configure dashboards and reports to measure success of marketing efforts, work to synthesize multiple data points to spot new opportunities and areas of growth.
- Use and configure 3rd party tools like Zapier to assist with systems integrations.
- Design, implement, and maintain large datasets at the database level using various database systems such as SQL, BigQuery, NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) while optimizing data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes to ensure high performance, scalability, and efficiency.
- Assist in the triage and completion of data related requests from stakeholders via our internal service desk.
- Support the Director of Business Intelligence with additional marketing projects and initiatives

**Qualifications**:

- 1-3 years experience working within the digital reporting and analytics space.
- Comfortable working with technical teams or developers. Technical proficiency with Python or JavaScript considered valuable.
- Familiarity with Google Ad Manager, Google Analytics, or similar tools to measure web and ad trafficking metrics.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI etc.
- Understanding of digital marketing, experience working in the media/publishing industry is an asset, especially experience with programmatic advertising.
- Post-secondary education in a quantitative or technical field.
