Aerial Lineman

**Aerial Lineman - Telecom**

Working under the supervision of the Foreman, the Lineman will assist in the installation of Strand and Hardware, Telecommunication cables and apparatuses.

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret work plans or job specifications to execute all work assigned safely.
- Work outdoors in various conditions to place strand and associated hardware and fiber optic telecommunication cables.
- Working at heights - Climb poles, ladders, and use of Bucket Trucks to assist in the installation of strand and telecommunication cables.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
- Accurately record and report project progress to the appropriate supervisory person and communicate any issues or expected delays
- Climb poles and working aloft at heights.

**Qualifications**:

- Holds a valid G license at least with clean driving record.
- 1-3 years of Lineman experience : climbing and working aloft
- Able to lift up to 80 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to interpret placing plans.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Must be able to provide a clean driver’s abstract.
- Pay: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on experience.

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

At least 2 years experience.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 10 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chatham-Kent, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- telecommunication: 1 year (preferred)
