- As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for both operating activities and operational support activities. In this position, you will maximize shop productivity, set priorities and meet customer expectations within various City Businesses. Primary duties include:

- Oversee Staff working at Fleet Services Auto Body Shop Building R and S.
- Mentor and develop employees by providing leadership and direction to all personnel and coordinate training as required.
- Respond to all customer inquiries and complaints.
- Assist with incident and shop investigations and conduct safe work procedures and hazard assessments.
- Manage compliance with International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
- Provide proficiency in project management and shop workflow processes to maximize shop productivity and labour efficiency.
- Outsource and track overflow work to vendors, including developing Request for Proposals (RFPs) and selecting vendors.
- Provide planned reports for Fleet Services Body Shop and scheduling for all City vehicle/equipment to internal and external customers on a daily and monthly basis.

**Operational Support Activities**:

- Work closely with Supply Management regarding parts related issues, special order parts, core return, aftermarket supplied parts, OEM supplies parts, shop supply materials and paint materials.
- Directly manage and maintain the regulatory and certification training requirements associated with Fleet Operation Auto Body Shop.
- Work with Team Coordinator on initiatives such as apprentice activities, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

**Qualifications**
- A Journeyman Technician Red Seal Certification, recognized by Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board. Including an Applied Management Certificate of Achievement, or Professional Management Certificate from an accredited institution,
- At least 8 years of related experience, including various supervisory roles in a shop environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and Project Management systems is required.
- Knowledge and a thorough understanding of Workers' compensation Board (WCB) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations is required.
- Knowledge of Body Shop industry will be considered an asset.
- The successful applicant must be customer service oriented, possess strong interpersonal and time management skills and have effective decision-making ability.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

- Compensation: Level E $83,059 - 125,413 per annum
- Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
