SU-01 - Full-time opportunities. 37.5 or 40 hours a week depending on the position.
Employment dates range from May 2025 to early September 2025 (possible part-time employment from September 2025 to October 2025). You must be available to work throughout all the summer season to be selected for a student position.
Salary to be determined at the time of the hire and is based on the current academic level of the student. Please note that the Northern New Brunswick Field Unit uses its own pay grid.

**Who can apply**: Persons are eligible for student employment with Parks Canada provided they are:

- Registered as a full time or part-time secondary or post secondary student in an accredited academic program; or
- Participating in adult education and retraining programs at the secondary level, operated under the authority of an accredited academic institution, and;
- Meet the minimum age requirement to work in the province or territory where the job is located as well as to any specific age student program requirements. 16 years-old at the time of hire, this is the minimum age to work in Nova Scotia;

Work location: Grand-Pré / Wolfville, Nova Scotia

Students will be required to cover all travel expenses to and from the location of work.

**Duties**:
Visitor Experience - Visitor Information Center/Entrance Kiosk/Student Interpreter/Cleaner

Duties as a student visitor experience employee include, but are not limited to:
Providing visitor services, in both official languages, offering update-to-date information on services, programs, and events of Parks Canada and their partner groups.
Operating the point of sale (POS), and the reservation systems.
Supporting in the coordination and delivery of events and activities.
Delivering diverse interpretive programs, including guided tours, to a variety of audiences in an engaging manner.
Cleaning and maintaining Parks Canada Agency buildings and facilities while adhering to Parks Canada safety protocols.

Grand-Pré National Historic Site, a powerful symbol of resilience, commemorates the deportation of the Acadians in 1755 and is a testament to the Acadian way of life between 1682 and 1755.
Located in the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, these picturesque grounds offer a meaningful memorial, interpretive centre and manicured green space and Victorian Gardens—a place to celebrate regional heritage and to bring to life the triumphs and trials of the past.

Tour a landscape of weeping willows, flower bushes and orchard trees to view a statue of Evangeline, Longfellow’s famous heroine. Marvel at the vibrant stained glass of a Memorial Church. Sit inside the hull of a Deportation Ship and uncover, through a multimedia presentation, the depth of this tragic tale. Appreciate a reconstructed dyke and aboiteau and understand how the Acadians reclaimed the salt marshes. See history illuminated through unearthed artefacts.
