Buyer/Sourcing Specialist - Electronic Components

As a Buyer / Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for executing the sourcing and procurement process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the organization. Your objective will be to identify reliable suppliers, negotiate cost, obtain favorable terms, and maintain vendor relationships. Your expertise in sourcing strategies, market analysis and supplier management will be critical to ensure the organization’s quoting and procurement needs are met efficiently.
- **Responsibilities**:

- Check the MRP system requests and inventory system daily.
- Should have a good understanding of materials and their technical requirements.
- Should be able to identify market trends, understand customer needs and identify new
opportunities for cost savings.
- Source and select suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and other key factors, while
ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Resolving all issues related to inquiries and technical specifications through effective
communications with internal stakeholders. (Expeditor to be in loop).
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, address any issue or concerns, and
implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Execute purchases, including the issuance of the purchase order and follow-up for
material delivery. Review vendor acknowledgments against issued purchase orders and
work with the supplier to address any inconsistencies to the company's benefit. Build an
overview of the assigned categories and provide backup in collaboration with the
material expeditor.
- Ensure all POs are filled with easy traceability.
- Utilize data analyst skills to analyze procurement data, create reports, track key
performance indicators and present findings to internal stake holders.
- Take an active role in continual improvement as a member of the buyer’s team, making
the effort to create changes and identifying the determinants as needed.
- Must have high sense of urgency and sensitivity to deadlines and timely delivery of
information.

- Ensuring all NCRs are communicated to the vendors/suppliers and follow up for
replacements.
- Prepare, evaluate, and maintain purchase reports. (Turn around time from PL to PO,
Open Orders, and delivery status, etc.).
- Providing evidence and adhering to company policy in support of the QMS.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary education preferred.
- Proven experience as a Buyer, Sourcing Specialist, or in a similar procurement role for a
minimum of 5 years or more.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
environment.
- Proficient in using procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems,
and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in procurement process.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
