**Position**: Ward Clerk (12 Month Contract)

**Ward Clerk Job Requirements**

The Ward Clerk will be responsible for specific operations running of the home, administration and nursing department. Our Ward clerk will be the first point of contact for the home.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform all the office administration duties by collaborating with every department of the home.
- Manage the patient admission and discharge process for the unit.
- Use patient intake and electronic medical records (PCC) software.
- Schedule appointments, procedures, and transportation.
- Assist Department Managers within their recruitment processes.
- Filing and Culling of Resident charts.
- Data Entry.
- Assist the Medical Directors of the home with resident consultations and referrals.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries, or redirect calls and relay messages.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Post Secondary Certificate in Business or office administration or related program.
- One year or more of experience in a similar position with working knowledge of general office operations.
- Knowledge of basic payroll principles, post-secondary education related to payroll administration or related experience would be considered as an asset
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have exceptional time management skills
- Must be Bilingual in English and French
