Shark Marine's sales team works with some of the world’s most interesting people. From elite military groups, scientists, astronauts and commercial dive teams around the globe. Our representatives are trained in house on state of the art equipment used underwater to make our planet safer and make change for the future.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge
- Develops annual business plan in conjunction with Sales Manager, which details the activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus the Sales Associate on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
- Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.
- Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from larger competitors.
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
- Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
- Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospects Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.
- Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics
- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of Client Satisfaction
- Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 2-5 years of experience in sales.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
- Engineering, Technical or Military background can be an asset.
- Up to date knowledge of industry sector.
- Excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Understanding of and experience using databases and standard software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work may require moderate physical exertion. May have to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sales role may also require personnel to do some moderate lifting when training clients or demonstrating equipment. Proper handling and safety are stressed and required safety equipment is supplies.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Well lit, heated and cooled, clean and organized environment. Travel is required which may require long hours and time changes. Applicants must be comfortable working on or around the water.
