- Previous experience in a Purchasing role is an asset but not necessary.
- University Business Graduate.
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft suite of Products, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

**Brief Overview of Responsibilities**:

- Create and distribute monthly supplier receipts, contract, and rebate report.
- Maintain QS approved vendor list.
- Liaise with IT for procurement programming improvements.
- Source spot buys for contractually obligated and opportunity buys.
- Publish and distribute monthly scrap report.
- Bi-monthly MRP and open standards review identifying under and over coverage.
- Weekly distribution of supplier forecast volume to operations.
- Weekly distribution and management of import balance remaining to be picked up by the deadline to avoid storage charges.
- Processor & Storage monthly inventory reconciliations.
- Verify SSCM purchase order data integrity.
- Review FOB collect ready material directing to Venture facility or outside storage to minimize nonvalue added freight cost.
- Purchasing inter-company lead.
- Analyze pricing impact for past due and not acknowledged orders.
- Freight spend analysis for established lanes. Premiums resulting from additional drops and light load charges.
- Forecasting weekly rail car requirements for material sourced from Canada and the US destined for Mexico.
- Distribution of weekly CRU pricing update.
- Order entry, mill order acknowledgement verification, and current ready date.
- Other functions and projects related to purchasing.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
