**The role**
Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President, After-sales will have the overall responsibility for after-sales operations of the company. He/she will also be responsible for management of the department staff as well as maintaining a work culture that aligns with the Company's core values and ensuring that quality, safety, and the highest customer satisfaction standards are met.
- The Vice President, After-sales will be responsible for parts and service functions, including planning, parts supply chain, process improvement, service retention, customer experience, product quality and support, technical training, warranty, and customer relations.
- Oversee customer service operations, technical services operations and related functions.
- In liaison with dealers, he/she will lead the improvement and execution of maintenance and repair programs with a view to minimization of equipment downtime.
- Establishes and maintains excellent relationships with customers to ensure repeat orders and referral business opportunities.
- Maximizes efficiency and profitability for the service department within Canada, in line with the current offerings and the projected business growth.
- Implements and oversees the development of a centralized maintenance schedule and tracking system.
- Ensures all warranty and repair work carried out adheres to company standards.
- Develops and monitors KPIs for maintenance, and operations teams. Use data analytics to monitor performance, identify areas of improvement, and implement best practices in equipment management.
- Develops and continuously evaluates the budget for maintenance, repair, costs, and acquisition of customers.
- Establishes effective communication channels and collaborations mechanisms with internal departments and external stakeholders to address various issues and ensure responsive service delivery.
- Leads and develops the competence of the Aftersales/operations teams to align with the company's long-term strategy and develops solutions to challenges with regard to cost, quality and performance.
**Qualifications**:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
- Extensive experience in managing heavy equipment sales and, aftersales customer support, maintenance, repair, and operational strategies, in a senior leadership position.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective maintenance programs and strategies that reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on operational excellence and efficiency.
- Hands on experience implementing continuous improvement processes.
- Knowledge of manufacturing performance indicators such as productivity, utilization, and efficiency
- Strong understanding of financial principles relating to sales and service.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record in building and leading high-performing teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel both nationally and internationally.
Note: Knowledge of Mandarin will be a definite advantage for this position.
