The ideal applicant is naturally passionate about math and eager to learn more. The accounting clerk will monitor account databases, reconcile bank statements, and update and maintain records under the supervision of the accounting manager. This person will join a team who are continually focused on sharpening their skills and building their professional career.

**Position**

Junior Accounting Clerk

**Shift Details**
- Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm

**Responsibilities**
- Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department
- Typing accurately, preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records
- Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical task as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Skills**
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software

**Education/Experience**
- Secondary school or related equivalent required
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk, not required
