Worship Co-ordinator

Cornerstone Christian Community Church is a vibrant, Jesus-centered intercultural Christian community. The worship ministry produces all Sunday worship services with the goal of making space for Jesus to shape people together in God’s love. We plan and coordinate the various expressions of the worship experience including the music, liturgy, communion, giving moments and baptism. We are also responsible for various technical aspects of the service, including front-of-house and live stream audio, stage and lighting, and plan special services and worship spaces outside of Sunday service.

Working under the direction of the Worship Director, the Worship Coordinator will bring a keen eye for detail, resourcefulness, a strong sense of workflow for service planning, preparation and execution, and the ability to multitask.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Help in the day to day administrative, planning and operational aspects of the ministry
- Focussed on supporting the following areas: Communion, Worship Team, Prayer Team, Stage/Set, and Special Services and events.
- Scheduling, ordering of supplies and materials, managing lists and assisting with documentation and workflow
- Support communion teams where needed and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Assist in prayer ministry following the service - ensuring supplies ordered and people in place
- Ensure materials are developed and distributed ahead of Sunday Service by the appropriate time and to the appropriate people/teams - including but not limited to music, audio, visual worship
- Assist with managing Planning Center - populating service details, reporting of pre/post reels
- Creating music sets for pre/post reels
- Plan and design worship services alongside Worship Director: Order of service, planning any special elements of the service with appropriate teams - when needed
- Assist in supporting volunteer team leads - Audio team leads, Communion team leads, Prayer team leads
- Research and work with technical vendors on obtaining quotes for upcoming ministry objectives
- Develop and oversee inventory of music resources, baptismal shirts, communion supplies, prayer ministry supplies
- Assist the Worship Director in sourcing training and development materials/opportunities
- Assist in the creative planning and execution of special services and worship events, including, but not limited to - our Candlelight Christmas Eve service, Good Friday/Easter Services, Summer Outdoor Worship Night, Acoustic Worship nights and prayer retreats.
- Communicate and Coordinate worship ministry needs with Facilities

**Qualifications**:

- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a heart for worship and a love for the church
- Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail and good time management skills
- Experience in leading and working with volunteer teams of various ages and skill level with clarity and kindness
- Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
- Experience with Planning Center
- Approachable and trustworthy with a commitment to the highest ethical standards
- A willingness to learn with commitment to growth and improvement
- Must be excellent with Google Sheets, Google Docs

**An Asset**:
Musical abilities and/or experience worship planning

**Other Requirements**:

- Part-time, 20hrs/wk
- Valid drivers license with access to car
- Attendance for all Sunday services
- Vulnerable Sector Check
