Makon Projects Ltd. is looking for a general labour to work on residential and commercial projects in Nanaimo and the surrounding area. The general labourer will assist with various tasks such as cleaning up worksites, loading and delivering materials, preparing job sites, and perform other required activities at construction sites.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:

- Loading and unloading construction materials, and moving them to work
- areas.
- Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment
- Provide labour support as needed for specialty crew
- Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labour tasks
- Maintain the work area and ensure it is clean, safe and organized.
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly

**Education & Experience**:

- High school diploma/GED preferred
- 2+ years’ construction industry experience preferred
- Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
- Understanding & experience using hand tools
- A Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- construction: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
