Furnace Helper

The Furnace Helper reports directly to the Production Supervisor of Woodbridge Glass Distribution. He/she is responsible for the general labour work of the company, orders being done on time and correct, the safety of the facility and any other duties as required.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE
**Days - Monday to Friday**: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for labelling glass and removing the sharp edge from the glass.
- Reporting, listening and working together with the Tempered line operator
- Scan labels with handheld scanner
- Removing glass of the back of the temp line.
- Putting Tempered glass away in the correct location once the product is complete.
- Testing tempered glass
- Making sure orders are complete
- Making the quality of the Tempered glass going out is good. Example, No chips or scratches
- Various other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to work in a safe manner with little supervision
- Ability to use a tape measure
- Must be able to work with others. WGD is a teamwork environment. Most tasks involve more than one person
- Understanding of the English language
- Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds
- Experience working in a plant/manufacturing environment
