**Duties and responsibilities**
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner and ensure an enjoyable package-free shopping experience for everyone.
- Provide excellent and knowledgable customer service while answering questions about our products and suppliers, helping customers weigh and tare containers, locate in-store products, and dispensing of personal care refill products as required and/or upon request.
- Opening and closing duties.
- Cashier responsibilities and back area responsibilities.
- Maintain strict adherence to our C.A.R.E. system.
- Maintain cleanliness and over all safety of store front and back room.
- Restock shelves and bulk products as needed.
- Manage protein counters and dispense protein items following ZWE standard operation procedures.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize utensils and bulk containers as per protocols.
- Follow and comply with VIHA, WCB and Food Safe regulations.
- Assist with receiving and processing of deliveries.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of products.
- Assist with inventory management and control.
- Assist other ZWE teammates as needed and requested.

**Qualifications and skills**
- Previous experience in customer service, minimum 6 months.
- Food Safe Level 1 or higher; or willingness to acquire certification within a month of starting the position.
- Must actively participate, or be interested in, Zero Waste ideals and lifestyle.
- Proven excellent customer service skills, and a friendly and outgoing demeanour.
- Proven communications and interpersonal skills. Team oriented.
- Ability to work in and maintain a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
- Ability to lift and manage up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to remain standing and/or active for prolonged periods of time.
- Must have a keen attention to detail and ability to problem solve in a timely and friendly manner.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Willingness to go the extra mile for customers and team mates.
