Pizza Maker/cashier

Volcano Pizzeria St Catharines is looking to hire part-time, flexible, afternoons, evenings and weekends

**Duties**:

- Prepare and cook pizzas according to company recipes and specifications, while noting customer specifications and/or dietary restrictions.
- Monitor food stock levels and replenish ingredients as necessary
- Ensure that all food preparation areas are clean and sanitized as well as maintain a clean and organized work station
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
- Taking customer orders via Skip the Dishes, Uber Eats, Doordash and direct to restaurant phone calls.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment preferred. Front facing customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards via Safe Food Handlers Certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team

As a Pizza Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas according to our long-standing traditions and recipes. You will also ensure that all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and stocked. Safe operation of equipment is a must. All training will be provided. Customer service experience is a strong benefit.

To excel in this role, previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred. You should have knowledge of food preparation techniques, safety standards, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Safe Food Handlers certification is required. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will need to follow recipes accurately to maintain the quality of our product. Additionally, strong communication skills are essential as you will collaborate with other kitchen staff members to ensure timely order preparation.

**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 28 per week
