We are currently looking for an energetic, hard-working **Concentrates and Overpouch Lead Hand to work full-time on our Day shift (Monday to Thursday 5:30-15:00) at our Alliston facility.** We offer an Employee Stock Purchasing Plan, Defined contribution pension plan and medical/dental benefits on your first day

The following are dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)
- Constant or intermittent exposure to elevated levels of noise
- Involves working around equipment, machinery, and belts

**What You'll Be Doing**

The Concentrates/Overpouch Lead hand is responsible for coordinating the Concentrates and Overpouch departments, optimizing output while maintaining all quality and safety standards. The Lead Hand will supervise the activities of team members and machinery to ensure production of quality product in a safe and efficient manner. This position involves considerable hands-on equipment troubleshooting, and repairs. In addition the Lead Hand will perform MH/QA duties on an as needed basis.

Duties performed daily:

- Coordinate the operation of the Concentrates and Overpouch department on the day shift and create rotation schedule.
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments and repairs as the need arises.
- Responsible for raising safety, quality, and production issues as appropriate. This includes reporting all safety incidents.
- Coordinate all TMP/PM tasks
- Ensuring all SOP’s, GMP’s and Safety rules are followed.
- Prepare for batch and line set up.
- Support EMS implementation which includes maintaining the department in 6S condition and participating in the IDEAS program.
- Perform MH and QA/RK duties on an as needed basis.

Duties performed on a continual or intermittent basis
- Advise the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles

**What You'll Bring**
- Successful completion of High school Diploma or GED
- Experience within a manufacturing operation
- Strong mechanical competence and equipment troubleshooting ability.
- Practical experience using Lean tools (6S, LSW, VM, DA, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).

Required:

- People coaching and team development skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of the organization.
- Strong ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint and Infinity, EBR and AS400\Kronos.
- Good solid understanding of SOP’s/specs, blueprints, PCS’s and BOM’s
- Proficiency in troubleshooting automated equipment.
