Zagimē Anishinabēk is a progressive First Nations, located around 22 KM Northeast of the Town of Grenfell in Saskatchewan. Zagimē Anishinabēk Goose Lake School serves the educational needs of less than 80 students from Prekindergarten to Grade 6 in split-grade classrooms.

**SUMMARY**: Reporting directly to the Education Manager, the Nutrition Program Cook is responsible for providing nutritious balanced meals to all Goose Lake School students. This position will provide support to the management, teachers, and support staff.

**DUTIES**:

- Plan, organize, and cook healthy and delicious food options for Goose Lake School.
- Assist with organizing events for the staff and community.
- Order and pick-up food supplies as needed.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report any damages or issues.
- Monitor and manage supplies within a budget.
- Supervise kitchen helpers.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized kitchen and work area.
- Ensure all food is properly stored and processed.
- Serve and engage with both children and adults.
- Comply with all existing public-health regulations and childcare food guidelines.
- Other duties as may be required.
**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- Possess and maintain Certification for First Aid/CPR, WHIMIS, and Safe Food Handling.
- At least one (1) year experience cooking in a school or other facility.
- Knowledge of Canada Health Food Guidelines and food regulations.
- Must be organized, reliable, and punctual.
- Experience utilizing various cooking techniques and equipment.
- Ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Submit a Pre-employment Substant Test, Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check prior to commencement of employment.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
