**Key Responsibilities**:
**SAFETY / HOUSEKEEPING**
- Perform employee safety observations.
- Comply with Section 27 of the OHSA.
- Train new employee of Job Specific Hazards.
- Perform regular safety workplace inspections.
- Conduct regular safety talks.
- Provide recommendations that concern the company and employee’s safety.
- Be involved with accident/incident investigation program.
- Correct unsafe acts or conditions.
- Commend or correct health and safety performance.
- To fully comply with Rollstamp’s Early and Safe Return to Work - Work Instruction.
- Enforces plant, housekeeping, and safety rules.
- Understanding of Employment Standards and Health and Safety Act.
- Maintains 5S, safety and housekeeping standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook for the department.
- Ensures other company policies and procedures are followed as per the Employee Handbook.
- Ensures all staff wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Completes orientation safety checklists.
- Ensures all required daily equipment safety checks are completed.
- Investigates accidents, completes the relevant forms as necessary and forwards them to the responsible Health and Safety Coordinator.

**COMMUNICATION / PEOPLE MANAGEMENT**
- Follows orientation procedures.
- Attends other meetings as required.
- Ensures necessary information is communicated between shifts.
- Supervises and provides leadership to Tool & Die Makers (and Apprentices).
- Must be a “**Role Model**”
- Use of Supervisory training to provide positive feedback to Toolmakers (i.e. employee issues).
- Follow and support Rollstamp’s Mission statement and values.
- Support and adhere to Rollstamp’s policies.
- Must be able to lead team in group problem solving towards continuous improvement.
- Participate as a cross-functional team member on focused continuous improvement teams as required.

**MAINTENANCE**
- Issue Toolroom work orders for toolroom related projects as required.
- Ensures timely completion of assigned Maintenance and Toolroom work orders (TWO’s).
- Ensures Preventative Maintenance schedule is followed and works with production’s schedules to attain equipment.
- Identifies re-occurring issues and determines ways to correct them.
- Verifies spare parts procedures are correct and up to date.
- Generates component and spare parts lists for all dies and downstream equipment.
- Perform the functions of a Toolmaker as required.

**ADMINISTRATIVE / MISCELLANEOUS**
- Generates and monitors all “open issue” lists on all programs
- Creates and monitors program timelines
- Maintains all Toolroom stocked components and tracks inventory
- To monitor and maintain working conditions within your area which provide for a safe and healthful working environment that is striving for continuous improvement.
- Set-up, schedule and follow-up maintenance and repairs on machines and tooling as required.
- Must be able to work effectively and provide leadership support to all toolmakers, using a team approach and incorporating team-oriented problem-solving methods.
- Required to make / facilitate decisions and to empower Toolmakers to also become decision makers.
- Lead team members in continuous improvement of performance objectives by:

- Analyzing data to identify the most significant issues preventing improvement of performance data.
- Conducting team member brainstorming sessions to identify potential action plans for correcting problems.
- Follow-up on action plan implementation and verify the effect on improvement of the data.
- Ensuring team members understand and enter correct data.

- Participate in APQP as required.
- Responsible for proper handling, storage, and disposal of all chemicals, used materials, and equipment.
- Responsible for looking for new ways to improve quality and productivity. Problem solving and continuous improvement.
