General Dynamics Mission Systems-Canada currently has an opportunity available for a System Integration Engineer Co-op to work in our Land & Joint Solutions business area. Land & Joint Solutions provides assured information distribution and management in mission-critical operational environments where conditions are harsh, austere and hostile to ensure the right information, gets to the right place, at the right time, to enable the right actions.

Our capabilities and services include:

- Communications and Networking - The Tactical Internet
- Cyber Security and Defence
- Command and Control - C2 systems through to information fusion and decision support
- Complex C4ISR System of System Integration Challenges
- Smart Displays
- Advanced Vehicle Electronic Systems

The responsibilities and range of activities may vary, but in general will include:

- Performing structural requirements analysis and maintenance.
- Performing data integrity analysis.
- Prepare integration test plans, test procedures and test reports in accordance with company and customer standards.
- Perform system integration testing, record results and conduct analyses of test data.
- Designing and developing data integrity tools used for validation.
- Investigating and responding to problem reports.
- Performing webpage (TWIKI) changes and maintenance.
- Investigating system defects and raise problem reports.
- Conducting tests in the lab, collect customer feedback, and collaborate with other product and engineering teams.
- Some work involving Networking and routing, VLANs, Microsoft Applications, radio, voice and data networks and various automation.

**Qualifications** Education**
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.

**Additional**
- Knowledge and use of a configuration management tool would be an asset.
- Experience with any of the following tools are highly desirable:

- Troubleshooting and simulation tooks (Robot Framework, Wireshark, CORE, VBS)
- Rational ROSE, ClearCase and ClearQuest
- DOORS
- Microsoft Visio
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Some knowledge of DXL (database programming language).
- Some scripting experience would be an asset.
- Some data analysis and metrics reporting would be an asset.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Enthusiastic contributor, willingness to learn new skills and takes on ownership of work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, with minimum supervision.

**Additional Information** Security Clearance**
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
