Power Engineer-2

The Power Engineer will be responsible to work mainly in the production facility, trouble shooting, performing preventative maintenance work and maintenance repairs, looking after the refrigeration system and boilers, perform maintenance work in the warehouse when required and other work that may be assigned to them. Refrigeration experience is required. This will include all daily inspections as well as both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Additional duties will involve maintenance of production, warehousing, and heating equipment.

To qualify for this position, the successful applicant must hold a 4th Class Stationary Engineer License (or significant progress) and be able to obtain 2nd Class Refrigeration, and Industrial Mechanic Red Seal certification as per our letter of agreement (apprenticeship program Truro Ice Cream), if not already qualified.
- Experience working with Industrial Refrigeration equipment.
- 4th Class Stationary Engineer certification
- Experience in mechanical engineering and the use of computerized process control systems will be a definite asset.
- Working knowledge of HACCP considered an asset.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work well with others.
- A strong commitment to occupational health and safety standards and procedures
