We are currently looking for someone **every other weekend to fill the 3pm-11pm front desk shift,** This position can also pick up hours over the holidays and by covering sick/vacation days.

The Front Desk position is located in Meaford at the 4th Canadian Division Training Centre and typically reports directly to the Front Desk Supervisor. Their primary focus is overseeing a customer service facility responsible for providing accommodations, issuing ration cards, offering information, and distributing keys to designated facilities.

**Primary and Essential Accountabilities**:

- Allocate accommodations to individuals or groups.
- Conduct inspections of accommodations and/or Quartermaster rooms during check-ins and check-outs with individuals or group representatives.
- Receive and relay messages as needed.
- Provide general information to inquiries.
- Update and post daily weather forecasts.
- Perform nightly rounds of Front Desk-controlled buildings, including Weather Haven facilities.
- Coordinate linen exchange in collaboration with housekeeping staff.
- Prepare the Daily Ration State for the kitchen, if required.
- Staff the Front Desk during scheduled shifts, either remaining on-site or available by phone to return when requested.
- Ensure key security by verifying the authority of key requesters and maintaining accurate completion of the Key Control Register.
- Maintain and ensure the consistent completion of the Front Desk Duty Log.
- Provide secure storage and guidelines for the temporary issuance of POL cards held at the Front Desk.
- Investigate maintenance complaints related to accommodations, update the fault log, and report issues to Facilities.
- Collect payments and issue receipts for lost meal cards, keys, and non-public funded accommodations.
- Manage the CardMeal and Fob key system databases by entering data and verifying inputs from other terminals.
- Other general tasks as assigned

**EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma considered an asset
- Valid G license

**SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**

Proficient knowledge and understanding of:

- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal direction

*Must be able to achieve and maintain a Government of Canada Security Clearance*
