**Project Details**
- Location: Edmonton, AB
- Duration: 1 year or until construction is completed
- Shift: Monday to Saturday, 11 hours per day.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Responsible for working as part of the tunneling crew to support tunnel construction, surface work and separation systems as required.
- Perform tasks in deep shafts and confined spaces while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Grouting of shaft, microtunnels, various lines and other areas as required.
- Assist with installing pumps and running hoses for water mitigation.
- Effectively utilize hand tools such as impact guns, drills, etc. for various construction tasks
- Contribute to carpentry and concrete form work, to assist with tunnel structure installation.
- Safely load, unload, and handle materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with general labour activities which includes, but is not limited to, pumping water, picking rocks, shoveling dirt, loading, unloading, and installing heavy materials and tools for the duration of shift.
- Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
- Must be able to perform all work duties without any restrictions or limitations
- Must be able to enter tight confined spaces (as small as 1.2 meters in diameter) upwards of 20 meters deep for entire duration of shift.
- Must be able to perform repetitive labour-intensive tasks all day such as crawling, climbing, sitting, standing, twisting, bending, lifting, overhead work.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an urban construction environment.
- Experience with manhole structures is an asset.
- Previous experience with tunneling sewer or wastewater construction is preferred.
- First Aid is an asset but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured to drive a company vehicle is an asset.
- Employment conditional on successful completion of required safety training, site access requirements and satisfactory union membership status. Must have proficient written and spoken English.
