We have an exciting opportunity for a **Logistics Manager** to join our **Apex Aluminum Extrusion **team

In this role, you will have the responsibility for managing Apex Aluminum Extrusions sales planning and ongoing scheduling of finished goods shipments to our valued customers. You are a key team member in ensuring the customer receives the right products as per the scheduled timelines and providing an exceptional customer service experience through internal collaboration and support.

This is a full-time, permanent position, with an excellent benefits package, and room for growth.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lead, demonstrate and champion a healthy and safe work environment ensuring that all safety standards, policies, procedures and compliance requirements are communicated, implemented and followed.
- Managing and optimizing the delivery of products to customers in accordance with production and shipping schedules.
- Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements.
- Leading the refining of the logistic best practice processes to align with service excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring receiving and inventory accuracy.
- Work with the shipping team, prepares shipment forecasts and summaries for input into various internal reports.
- Ensuring material moves efficiently through the production process and shipping areas.
- Overseeing, coordinating, and ensuring the finished goods are properly labelled, wrapped, weighted, and sorted.
- Other duties as maybe assigned, including helping the Plant Operations and other departments as needed.

**Knowledge/Experience and Skills**:

- You would have at least a bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Mandatory requirement of knowledge and experience in logistics and planning.
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in scheduling/logistics/planning; preferably in a manufacturing/production environment with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Working knowledge of safe lifting methods and the ability to perform repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs. frequently)
- Valid Forklift License
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office including high proficiency with Teams and Excel
