Our facility started in British Colombia and now expands internationally including facilities in Ontario Canada, Houston Texas, China and Pakistan. **NWR **is looking for TWO dedicated Supervisors in production. This position is responsible for learning all aspects of production processes problem troubleshooting and meeting production requirements.

**Continental 12-hour rotating Shifts **7am - 7pm/7pm - 7AM

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Safety responsibilities**
- **Ensure that all employees from all departments are wearing the required Personnel Protective Equipment properly and follow plant safety rules.**

**Quality responsibilities**
- **To achieve a quality percentage of 96% 1st grade mats or better.**:

- Mold stack Inspection
- tooling, pins and blocks.
- Monitor mat quality before and after skid flip.
- Monitor skid stacking condition, must be squared, and not overlapping for auto cut.
- Mat cut quality in die cutting.
- Skid quantity checks in die cutting.

**Troubleshooting capability**.
- Able to accurately identify areas of the machines, perform small repairs.
- Knows where and how to look for key issues - knows how the compressor system works and what bad signs are, same for boilers, cooling water, and similar.

**Allocation of resources/covering gaps**
- Move people to die cutting/ mat making/ mixing on off shift if necessary.
- Understand the mixing process well enough to run it (and demonstrate)
- Able to load/unload trucks if necessary.
- Demonstrate good decision-making ability (machines are staggered, breaks are staggered, call ins initiated in the right situations, people deployed correctly, cells prioritized if we have a priority, etc)

**Responsible for output on shift.**
- **To achieve a daily mat production rate of 2100 mats or better in mat making department.**:

- **To achieve a minimum daily throughput on the Autocut machine of 1500 mats per day.**:

- Misses need to be documented and explained.
- **Spend a minimum of 80% time on the floor, leading by example and coaching co workers best practices**.
- Understand targets and helps us promote their achievement.

**Authority**:

- To be involved in the hiring process.
- To be part of the performance review process.
- To be part of the discipline and coaching process.
- To send individuals home if needed with documented and logical reasoning.
- To work with but have ultimate authority over crew leads hands.

**Communication.** It is necessary that the Production supervisors can be counted on to reliably and honestly share with the Production Manager, the things that are happening on his shift. No covering anything up.

**Confidentiality**. It will be necessary for the Production supervisors to show that they can perform reviews or deal with personnel issues and maintain professional confidentiality about it. That means for the reviews and any form of discipline, that information remains confidential.

**Departments responsible for;**
- Mat Making
- Yard
- Shipping/ Receiving
- Die Cutting Manual and Autocut
- Must be knowledgeable in all departments and ready to take over when needed.
- The shifts are 12-hour continentals that rotate every 2 weeks. If you are able to make an agreement with your swing partner, you can agree on fixed shifts.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Must possess forklift certification or have experience operating a forklift.
- Strong team building and team leadership with experience in a leader position
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
- Excellent attendance & punctuality
- Proven experience in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience in troubleshooting and solving operational problems.
- Strong computer skills specifically MS Word,
